Jaguar Cars was honored at the February 2007 Chicago International Auto Show as MotorWeek awarded the 2007 Jaguar XKR the Drivers’ Choice Award for ‘Best Dream Machine’.
MotorWeek annually recognizes the premier vehicles of the year with its Drivers' Choice Awards. Handing out awards in thirteen different categories, MotorWeek acknowledges a range of quality production vehicles from ‘Best Large Utility’ to ‘Best Eco-Friendly’ and a cross-section of vehicles in between. This year’s ‘Best Dream Machine’ award was shared among three cars – the Jaguar XKR, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and the Porsche 911 Turbo. Although the award was presented to all, the XKR was the first choice amongst the three.

February 7, 2007 – Chicago - Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA, Inc., unveiled the all-new next-generation Highlander and Highlander Hybrid mid-size sport utility vehicles (SUV) at a press conference today at the 2007 Chicago Auto Show.
"Highlander holds a unique distinction within the Toyota brand and within the industry," said Don Esmond, TMS senior vice president, automotive operations. "Along with the 4Runner and the FJ Cruiser, it anchors one of the industry's only three-vehicle, mid-size SUV line-ups. Equally important, along with Prius and Camry Hybrid, it is a key component in the industry's only three-vehicle hybrid strategy."
The 2008 Highlander is significantly larger, roomier and more powerful than the vehicle it replaces. Yet its fuel efficiency will be virtually unchanged. It is noticeably quieter, smarter, with improved versatility and ride comfort. It will offer the highest level of standard safety equipment in a segment where safety is at the top of purchase considerations. And, it's all wrapped in a package designed for buyers who want to stand out and make a statement.

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 6 -- Mazda Motor Corporation today announced the production of the 800,000th MX-5 Miata. Total global production of the MX-5 Miata reached this significant milestone on January 30, 2007 -- 17 years and nine months after production commenced in April 1989.
The MX-5 Miata, also known as the Roadster in Japan, was certified as the world's top-selling lightweight, open-top, two-seat sports car by Guinness World Records when production reached 531,890 units in May 2000. The 2.4-liter 4WD Delica D:5 goes on sale at affiliated dealerships throughout Japan today.
The fifth iteration of the series, Delica D:5 inherits and builds on the strengths of the Delica brand philosophy: a peoplemover that transports its occupants to their destination in safety and comfort under all driving conditions. Covering running performance, body structure and cabin environment, Delica D:5 has undergone a full redesign to a development theme of fusing minivan people-friendliness with SUV tough and strength.
Although classified as a monobox minivan, in line with Mitsubishi Motors' All Wheel Control (AWC) vision of active safety Delica D:5 sports electronically-controlled 4WD, Active Stability Control (ASC) together with ample obstacle clearance angles and ride height to give it improved running performance and stability both on- and off-road.
Delica D:5 presents the first full manifestation of Mitsubishi's Cocochi interior developed around three central themes: Clean; Stress-free; and Reassuring & Safe. The Jaguar XJ has been named 'Luxury Car of the Year' for the second consecutive year at the Business Car Awards 2007. Voted solely by Business Car readers, the Jaguar XJ was first choice over competition from BMW, Audi and Lexus. Geoff Cousins, Managing Director of Jaguar in the UK said: "We are delighted to win this award for the second year running, particularly as it was voted for exclusively by Business Car readers. This recognition reinforces the growing sales success of XJ in the UK market demonstrated by a 23% increase in 2006, compared with 2005.
