U.S. Deploys 10,000 Troops in Iraq in the Aftermath of Deadly Truck Bombing : GlobalGiants.com

The U.S. military deployed 10,000 soldiers backed by attack helicopters in a big offensive against al-Qaida north of Baghdad on Tuesday as a truck bomber struck in the capital, killing 75 people near a Shiite mosque.

Deputy U.S. Attorney General Paul McNulty Steps Down : GlobalGiants.com

The No. 2 official at the Justice Department, Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty, submitted his resignation to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the Justice Department announced Monday.
McNulty cited personal reasons for his resignation although many will speculate that he had other reasons for stepping down. McNulty is the highest ranking member of the Justice Department to resign amid the controversy over the department's firing of eight U.S. attorneys last year. The Queen and President George W. Bush celebrated the ties between Britain and America in the grandest dinner of his tenure at the White House.
At a joint appearance before the lavish affair, President Bush said that The United States was a nation the Queen “had come to know very well”, he said. “After all, you’ve dined with 10 US presidents. You helped our nation celebrate its bicentennial in 17 - 1976.”
Turning back, Mr Bush prompted the Queen to laugh as he said with a smile: “She gave me a look that only a mother could give a child.”
