The stamp, released by the UN Postal Administration, pays tribute to the centenary of Mandela’s birth. Designed by Norwegian artist Martin Mörck and issued in Swiss francs, it features the Nelson Mandela quote (in French): “It is easy to break down and destroy. The heroes are those who make peace and build.”

LONDON — For its Summer Escape issue, women’s luxury fashion magazine PORTER is partnering with Parley for the Oceans, a global collaboration network. PORTER, along with acclaimed photographer Mario Sorrenti, and cover star Anja Rubik, is highlighting the plastic crisis facing the oceans.

For a second year, the title dedicates an entire issue to exploring the beauty and fragility of the oceans. In a 63-page portfolio shot by Sorrenti on Parley’s island in the Maldives, Sorrenti’s excellent fashion photography illustrates the reality and impact of plastic pollution upon the seas.
