NEW YORK, Jan. 23 -- Quebec singer Giorgia Fumanti makes her U.S. TV debut when she performs the Canadian National Anthem at the NHL All-Star Game in Dallas on January 24th. "It is a huge honour for me, not only to represent my adopted home of Canada but also to perform at a major U.S. sporting event like the NHL All-Star Game," said Giorgia Fumanti. CINCINNATI, Jan. 22, 2007 -- The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) announced today that it has acquired HDS Cosmetics Lab Inc., the company that manufactures and markets Doctor's Dermatologic Formula (DDF) skin care, from North Castle Partners, a private equity firm. The DDF line of products designed for specific skin concerns such as anti-aging, acne, hyperpigmentation and sun protection are sold in specialty retail, department stores and select spas throughout the United States and in several other countries.
Building on DDF's strong positioning and credentials, P&G expects to infuse the line with a steady stream of innovation, add marketing expertise, and leverage its global reach and go-to-market capability to drive future expansion.
"We created DDF to bring forth the latest technologies, based on medical practices and protocols," said Dr. Howard Sobel, a leading New York dermatologist and founder of DDF. "I'm confident that with P&G's know-how and scale behind it, DDF can grow to reach even more women and men who are looking for professional solutions."

Boeing and GE Commercial Aviation Services Announce Order for 39 Airplanes : GlobalGiants.com

SEATTLE, Jan. 22, 2007 -- Boeing and GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) today announced a 39-airplane order that includes 15 Boeing 777s a mix of seven 777-300ER (Extended Range) passenger jetliners and eight 777 Freighters and 24 Next-Generation 737-800s. The order, valued at approximately $5.34 billion at list prices, was booked in 2006.
GECAS has long been an important Boeing customer, offering the 737, 747, 757, 767 and 777 to operators. GECAS has been highly successful in placing Boeing airplanes with operators around the globe, including many of the world's most prestigious airlines. [GlobalGiants.com]
