Marseille, France, June 16, 2023 — Excitement filled the air as Mattia Michelotto and Gilles Stadsbader achieved their first victory in the #6 Huracán at Circuit Paul Ricard.
The circuit at Le Castellet, Var, near Marseille, France, is a popular French motorsport race track.
The Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2s season commenced with Yelmer Buurman securing pole position and leading the pack into the first corner.
Despite starting fourth, Michelotto and Stadsbader worked their way up the order, eventually taking the lead in the Pro-Am class and finishing ahead of Stian Balthasar and Marzio Moretti.
Brendon Leitch secured third place in the Pro class. Gabriel Rindone, from Leipert Motorsport, was unfortunately taken out by Brutal Fish Racing Pro-Am entry Martin Ryba in the final minutes of the race, allowing Boutsen VDS’ Renaud Kuppens and Pierre Feligioni to claim victory in the Am category.
In Lamborghini Cup, the father and son combination of Luciano and Donovan Privitelio dominated, securing a first-place finish with Iron Lynx. Their #8 car started from the pole and held the lead for most of the race, beating the Bonaldi Motorsport pairing of Paolo Biglieri and Petar Matić. At the same time, Leipert Motorsport’s Jürgen Krebs completed the podium in third position. Michelotto and Stadsbader were thrilled with their victory and praised their team for their hard work.
