Shoolini University partners with the prestigious University of Melbourne to offer a Dual-Degree Program

Melbourne, June 14, 2023 — Shoolini University, a private university in India, has partnered with the prestigious University of Melbourne to offer a unique dual-degree program.

This collaboration marks the University of Melbourne’s first dual-degree partnership with a private Indian university, highlighting the reputation and credentials of Shoolini University.

Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences is located at Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Through the Bachelor of Science Advanced (Honours) program, Indian students can pursue undergraduate science studies at Shoolini University and the University of Melbourne, benefiting from a world-class curriculum. The program spans four years and offers a range of multidisciplinary majors, such as Agriculture, Sustainability and Environment, Biosciences, and Computer Sciences.

Furthermore, eligible students can complete a Master of Science at the University of Melbourne and apply for post-study work rights upon finishing their studies in Australia. This partnership reflects the University of Melbourne’s strict standards and promotes knowledge exchange between the two institutions.

Professor Atul Khosla, the Vice Chancellor of Shoolini University, expressed his excitement about the partnership. At the same time, Professor Michael Wesley, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Global, Culture and Engagement at the University of Melbourne, highlighted the opportunity for high-achieving Indian students to receive a global education and build their international professional network. This collaboration aims to prepare a new generation of highly skilled professionals to thrive in today’s interconnected world.

• The University of Melbourne’s new dual-degree partnership with Shoolini, a private Indian university, marks the fourth such partnership with Indian universities. Indian students are already pursuing a Bachelor of Science Dual Degree program at the University of Melbourne through partnerships with the University of Madras, Savitribai Phule Pune University, and Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, Hyderabad.
