G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meetings take place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India
Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, July 17, 2023 — The G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meetings are taking place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, on July 17-18, 2023.
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister, and Dr. Shaktikanta Das, the Reserve Bank of India Governor, are chairing the meetings.
Participants include Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors from G20 members, guest countries, and heads of International Organizations such as IMF, World Bank, and WTO.
The meetings are organized into five thematic sessions:
- Global Economy and Global Health
- Sustainable Finance and Infrastructure
- International Financial Architecture
- International Taxation
- Financial Sector & Financial Inclusion
G20 India will organize a special cultural program called Ratri Bhoj Par Samvad for the delegates of the G20 summit.
The organizers have also planned excursions to the vibrant state of Gujarat for the delegates on July 19, 2023, which include guided tours of Ahmedabad City, Patan and Modhera, and the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat.
