The next generation of innovators can now submit their proposals tackling one of the six challenges set out by Airbus for its sixth global Fly Your Ideas competition (Electrification, Data Services, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Mixed Reality).
The biennial competition is a celebration of creativity and innovation to solve real industry challenges. Open to university teams from across the world, including all disciplines from engineering and information technology to marketing and design, the competition is an opportunity for students to unleash their pioneering spirit, working at the cutting edge of digital technology alongside industry experts. UNESCO granted patronage to Fly Your Ideas in 2012.
“Fly Your Ideas is an inspirational endeavor for students around the world and UNESCO is proud to be a part of this initiative,” said Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO. “The new challenges will allow students to think outside the box and come up with sustainable solutions for global problems beyond aerospace - exactly what the world needs from our future generations!”
The submission phase would end on 16 November 2018. A team of Airbus specialists from across the business will review and evaluate all submitted ideas. The live final of Fly Your Ideas will be held in 2019, where students will have the opportunity to showcase their ideas to an audience of industry experts.
Airbus is seeking ideas that could change aerospace in the decades to come and create a safer, cleaner and better-connected world. The competition is an opportunity for students to build valuable employment skills including teamwork, project management, and presentation skills and to apply their classroom learning to real-world challenges.

Barcelona, Spain - February 27, 2018 - At Mobile World Congress today, Mastercard announced that Flipkart will be the first merchant in the Asia Pacific region to launch ‘Mastercard Digital Enablement Services (MDES) for Merchants’. The service will enable the card issuing banks to replace Mastercard credit, debit and prepaid card primary account numbers with secure digital tokens. These tokens will allow the merchants to offer enhanced security and customer experience. This announcement not only strengthens Mastercard and Flipkart’s partnership, but also exemplifies both organizations’ efforts to decrease fraud on e-commerce channels.
Storing card information in apps and online is popular among merchants and consumers to reduce checkout friction, enable subscription-based services and recurring payments. However, the security of transactions is extremely important. MDES provides an extra layer of security. In case of token compromise, MDES blocks the transaction, thus eliminating any chance of a fraud. If a device is lost or physical card is compromised, the link in MDES between the tokens and the card/device can be broken - and reissued for the new token or the card- without troubling the consumer.
For better customer experience, it gives cardholders the choice and peace of mind to make secure digital payments from a variety of connected devices through a tap, touch, or click. Moreover, the customer does not need to update the tokens stored with various merchants when a card number or its expiration date changes.
“Flipkart has been at the forefront of payment innovations that have led and accelerated the adoption of e-commerce in India. Through the implementation of the Mastercard Digital Enablement Services, we are happy to introduce our customers to a simple, convenient and secure payment method, create a safe ecosystem and provide superior experiences for them,” said Ranjith Boyanapalli, Vice President of Product at Flipkart.
“We are delighted to partner with Flipkart, the pioneer of India’s e-commerce Industry, to roll out the industry-leading MDES for merchants. Our research indicates that security of payment and convenience are some of the key factors considered during online shopping by consumers. Mastercard tokenization will eliminate a significant ‘hassle factor’ for consumers and offer enhanced security,” said James Anderson, Executive Vice President, Digital Payment Products at Mastercard.
The Flipkart Group is India’s largest e-commerce marketplace and includes group companies Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong and PhonePe.
Propelled by rising smartphone penetration, the launch of 4G networks and increasing consumer wealth, the Indian e-commerce industry has been on an upward growth trajectory and is expected to surpass the U.S. to become the second largest e-commerce market in the world by 2034.

New Delhi, September 22, 2017: The list of countries where Renault’s successful SUV is marketed has been extended to include India. Captur was designed and developed by an international technical team which was tasked with proposing a versatile vehicle featuring a bespoke styling/equipment-specification package for the Indian market. Captur production is already under way in Chennai plant.
Over the last five years, Renault has taken significant measures to promote its growth in India through the way it is structured locally, its sales network and its model range. Thanks to this work, it has emerged as one of the fastest-growing automobile brands in India and Renault Captur’s launch marks a new phase in this strong product strategy.
Within few years, Renault’s footing in India has gained significant ground in just a short period of time to become the country’s number one European brand. The launch of Renault Captur will be backed by an expansion of the network’s coverage. In May 2011, the number of Renault sales outlets stood at just 14. The figure now exceeds 300 and is poised to rise further before the end of 2017.

ATLANTA - July 26, 2017 - According to The Coca-Cola Company, since its 2005 introduction, Coca-Cola Zero has refreshed hundreds of millions of fans across America with its real Coca-Cola taste and zero calories. From its U.S. introduction into the Coca-Cola trademark brand portfolio to its global expansion, the brand is sold in nearly 160 countries around the world.
Now, through in-house innovation and extensive market testing, Coca-Cola Zero is getting a new name, new look and even more delicious taste, said the company. The no-calorie fan favorite will deliver an even better-tasting recipe and now be called “Coca-Cola Zero Sugar”.
“More than 10 years ago, we launched Coca-Cola Zero with a revolutionary recipe that gave fans real Coca-Cola taste without the sugar and calories. The brand grew strongly after its launch and gained millions of loyal fans over time, but we recognized an opportunity to give the brand another boost and to encourage more Coca-Cola fans to try a great-tasting zero-sugar product,” said Stuart Kronauge, business unit president, USA Operations and senior vice president, Marketing, Coca-Cola North America.

This U.S. launch builds on the success and popularity of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar already seen in Great Britain, Mexico and more than 25 other markets around the world, the company said.
