The Academy elects the 2023-2024 Board of Governors.

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Board of Governors for the 2023-2024 term has been elected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. These governors will officially take office after the first scheduled board meeting of the new term. Among those elected are incumbents such as Ava DuVernay, Lynette Howell Taylor, Debra Zane, and newcomers like Wendy Aylsworth and Lou Diamond Phillips. Ellen Kuras has also returned to the Board after a hiatus.
