India successfully launches Chandrayaan-3 Mission to land Spacecraft on the Moon.

Photo: India has successfully launched the Chandrayaan-3 mission to land a spacecraft on the Moon. Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Minister of State for Science and Technology, Department of Space, and Department of Atomic Energy, spoke at Sriharikota after the launch, praising the team and thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unlocking the gates of Sriharikota and enabling India’s space sector.

The LVM3 M4 rocket lifted off from the 2nd Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), SHAR, Sriharikota, at 2:35 PM, July 14, 2023, and successfully launched the Chandrayaan-3 into orbit. Chandrayaan-3, in its precise orbit, has begun its journey to the Moon. ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) said the spacecraft’s health is normal.
